Happy about water

The Identity of The Ragamuffin

To be a Ragamuffin is to live in the honest intersection of human brokenness and divine grace—and we are those Ragamuffins. We are a community that recognizes our own sinful nature and our total inability to find a way forward through our own strength. By acknowledging our deep need, we open ourselves to rely entirely on God’s mercy—a gift extended to every one of us, without exception. We don’t travel to Uganda as “heroes” with all the answers; we go as fellow Ragamuffins and travelers. We are simply sharing the mercy and resources we have been given to help others find hope, water, and life.

Our Missions

Your generosity is the fuel for everything we do. At A Bunch of Ragamuffins, we ensure that your gift translates directly into action—whether that’s providing a meal, fixing a well, or supporting a school. We believe in transparency and the power of a community coming together to serve.

Give Water To The Children

Every child deserves a life free from the burden of trekking miles for water. By providing clean sources near schools and homes, we give children their time, health, and futures back.

Empower Deaf Children in Uganda

Founded in 2006, our school now provides a sanctuary for 78 children to learn and grow. We break the silence of isolation by offering specialized education, nutrition, and the message of God’s love to those often overlooked.

Help Fight & Prevent Disease

When the “Ragamuffins” go to Uganda, we bring more than tools; we bring care. Providing medical attention to those in remote areas ensures that a treatable illness doesn’t become a life-threatening crisis.

meet the spiritual needs of people

Physical water quenches thirst for a day, but spiritual hope lasts forever. We gather with our Ugandan brothers and sisters to pray, heal, and address the deep needs of the heart.

Real Impact for Real People

Direct Relief for the Families of Mbale

At A Bunch of Ragamuffins, we believe that every person deserves the basic foundations of life: clean water, health, and a voice. We work in the trenches of remote Uganda to turn your compassion into immediate, tangible action.

Compassion In Action

Empowering The Deaf

Signs & Wonders School For The Deaf

At the heart of our mission is Signs and Wonders, a specialized school dedicated to breaking the silence of isolation for deaf children in rural Uganda. Since our founding, we have grown to serve 78 students, providing them with a sanctuary where they can receive a quality education, consistent nutrition, and the gift of communication. In many remote villages, deaf children are often overlooked or misunderstood, but we believe they are capable of incredible things. By teaching sign language and sharing the message of God’s love, we aren’t just running a school—we are giving these children a voice, a family, and the opportunity to realize their full potential.
